Point Taken From: There isn’t much consistency in the series…. But I’d have to say a little after Zim reaches Earth.

Other Abilities: When sensible, he is capable of physical combat. He is also good at keeping house: cleaning, cooking and the like. Unfortunately, GIR tends to put soap in his waffles...
Appearance: GIR is short, perhaps around the same height as half a human child. Underneath the green, rather badly made dog suit is a bipedal robot with sea green eyes.
Personality: Being defective, GIR is very nearly… insane. He tends to run around screaming random words, get strange food cravings and technically annoy people. Apart from that, he is perfectly harmless. He has brief moments of sanity when his SIR program kicks in and he turns into a perfectly reliable unit and quite loyal to his master. GIR may be insane but he certainly means well.
History: GIR is a defective SIR (Standard Information Retrieval) unit. He was pulled out of the trash and put into operation to serve as Zim’s SIR unit in order to cover up for the fact that the Tallest were just trying to get rid of him. Upon reaching Earth, Zim disguised GIR in a green dog outfit in order to blend in with the humans.
